Privacy Policy
Last updated June 6, 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains what data Sendit collects and how we use it. It covers two different relationships, which matter for your rights:
• Artist accounts. When you sign up as an artist, Sendit is the controller of your account data.
• Fan / subscriber emails. When a fan signs up to an artist's mailing list, the artistis the controller of that list, and Sendit acts as a processor on the artist's behalf to store the list and send their emails.
2. What we collect
• Account data (via our auth provider): your name, email, and login identifiers.
• Profile & content: your handle, bio, socials, uploaded images/artwork, links, and press kit details.
• Subscriber data: email addresses fans submit, plus the time and (for abuse prevention) the IP/approximate context of signup.
• Analytics: aggregate page views and link clicks. We don't build advertising profiles.
3. How we use it
To provide and operate the service: render your pages, resolve store links, capture and confirm signups, send the broadcasts you choose to send, show you analytics, and keep the platform secure and free of abuse and spam.
4. Service providers (subprocessors)
We use trusted vendors to run Sendit, and share only what's needed:
• Vercel — hosting. • Neon — database. • Clerk — account authentication. • Resend — email delivery. • Spotify, Apple, and link-resolution providers — to look up and build store links.
We do not sell your data or your subscribers' data.
5. Emails & unsubscribing
New subscribers must confirm their email (double opt-in) before joining a list. Every broadcast includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes are honored immediately and excluded from future sends. Fans can unsubscribe from any email, or contact the artist or us.
Sendit may also occasionally email you directly (important service notices and infrequent product updates) when you've subscribed to an artist through us. These also carry a one-click unsubscribe, tracked separately from the artists you follow — opting out of Sendit's own emails won't unsubscribe you from those artists.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login/session only (via our auth provider). We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Retention & deletion
We keep data while your account is active. If you delete your account or a page, the associated content and captured emails are removed. Subscribers who unsubscribe are added to a suppression list so they aren't contacted again. To request deletion, contact us.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Artists can export or delete their own data and their subscriber list from the dashboard. For subscriber data held on an artist's behalf, contact that artist (the controller); we'll assist them as the processor.
9. International & security
Sendit is operated from the United States and data may be processed there and in our providers' regions. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, though no system is perfectly secure.
10. Children
Sendit isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes & contact
We may update this policy; changes are posted here with a new “last updated” date. Questions or requests: hello@sendit.music.
